As we enter another scorching summer, workers across the country and around the world are organizing and demanding that Amazon change its dangerous policies and working conditions which regularly subject workers to heat hazards. Amazon bosses know their policies are torturing workers in extreme heat: workers have been demanding changes and taking action to confront this problem for years. But the horrific heat conditions persist, so we must wield more coordinated pressure—nationally and internationally—to force the management at Amazon to take worker health and safety seriously.

Following the lead of Amazon organizers at locations such as KSBD in San Bernardino, CA and JFK8 in Staten Island, NY, we call on workers across the country to monitor the heat at your worksites this summer, share your stories of extreme heat with us in the form below, and upload photos of high temperatures so we can collect this data and build common campaigns and shared narratives about what Amazon is doing to workers and what workers can do to protect each other and build power. This is just one of many actions that workers are using to apply pressure on the bosses, and we'll continue to discuss and develop further coordinated campaigns to leverage worker power together.
