Amazon’s workforce includes many immigrant workers who help keep the company running every day. No matter our origins or the languages we speak, we share the same fight for fair wages, safe working conditions, and dignity on the job. 

Today, unfortunately, we are seeing federal ICE authorities violate the rights of immigrant workers, including their due process rights. These violations hurt all of us. Amazon must stop allowing these violations of basic human rights. Worse yet, we know that Amazon Web Services has for long served as a backbone of ICE’s incarceration and deportation machine. A threat to one is a threat to all. We stand in solidarity against all attacks on immigrants. 

Because of ICE’s rampant abuse of workers, we demand that Amazon:

1. commit to non-cooperation with immigration enforcement efforts against Amazon employees, including: 
   a. don’t let ICE agents and other immigration enforcement agencies into our worksites and parking areas unless required by court-issued warrant, and post signs at the gates and doors saying so; 
   b. train your managers and security staff to reject warrantless searches and notify affected workers immediately of immigration enforcement actions; 
   c. stop sharing worker information with immigration enforcement agencies and ending any use of E-Verify or other immigration enforcement tools; 
   d. post a notice of these commitments in visible locations in every Amazon workplace.
2. disclose any past or present cooperation with immigration enforcement agencies and take steps to protect affected workers.
3. provide legal and financial support to any worker needing legal representation related to their immigration status or facing a challenge to their right to be here.
4. not use immigration status as a reason for termination or workplace discipline. 
5. establish pathways for workers to obtain legal status, through work permits, visas, legislative advocacy, and work with legal advocacy groups.
